The winner was our captain Anne Fitzgerald with 19 points. Kathleen Lonergan has recovered from a back injury and is back to her old form. She came second on countback with a score of 18 points.

The weather continued to be on our side and our men’s St Patricks day qualifier went ahead. This was played over 12 holes. The results are as follows:

    Cat 1 (0-7) Shay Hughes 21 pts

    Cat 2 (8-12) John Hughes 22 pts

    Cat 3 (13-15) David Kennedy 21 pts

    Cat 4 (16 ) Jimmy McCarthy 19 pts

On Sunday the ladies had a draw at noon for 9 hole Stableford competition. It was a fabulous afternoon for golf. The ladies were pleased to welcome new members and to see so many of last years Get Into Golf participants have taken up our offer and joined again this year. The winner, for the second week running, was Julie Connolly with 19 points and the runner up was Michelle Keating who also had 19 points.

This is the last week for ladies to enter our Spring League. Please sign up in Ladies Locker Room.

The Course Committee are confident that 12 holes can be played next week by using the 8th tee box across the river, the 9th and the 16th.

Munster Golf have circulated the dates for Cups & Shields for 2018 which is a good focus for players, managers and Course Committees. Cahir Park have entered most competitions and are delighted to be hosting the East Munster section of the Junior Cup on June 30.
